This past school year, as part of our Strategic Plan Process, the Moraga School District conducted a Facilities Master Plan Assessment.  Although our school facilities are well-maintained on an annual basis, the assessment identified many needed capital improvements that go beyond our annual maintenance budget.  This assessment is not surprising given our school buildings, which grew out of post-World War II development, are between 50 and 60 years old.

Replacement of leaky roofs, upgrades to inadequate and deteriorating electrical and plumbing systems, seismic upgrades, and the modernization of our classrooms have been identified as key areas of improvement, and are critical to continue the excellent teaching and learning that make our schools among the best in the state.

The Moraga School District invites you to join us at a Community Engagement meeting to learn more about our Facilities Master Plan, funding plans, and to provide input about our future facility needs.  We welcome your input at these public meetings as part of an open and collaborative process to ensure quality future school facilities.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in our Moraga TK-8 schools.

Moraga School District to Implement Common Core State Standards

The Moraga School District continues to implement the California Common Core State Standards (CCCSS).  This implementation will take place during the next 2-3 years.   Our school community, teachers and staff will be working during the next few years to anaylyze the CCCSS and how these new standards will affect instruction at grades K-8.  For more information about these changes please visit the Common Core Standards web page for more information related to the district implementation plan.
