Report Cards Grades K-5
An important element in improving our children's learning is being clear about what students are expected to learn. In 2010 California adopted the Common Core State Standards for ELA and Math. These standards are rigorous and ask students to gain a deeper understanding of content and theory, then apply these standards to college and career skills needed for success into the 21st Century.
In grades K-5, the Moraga School District reports a student's progress in ELA and Math achievement. For school year 2013-2014 the math section of the report card reflects the new common core standards for California. The purpose of a student's report card is to inform parents of their child's progress in mastering subject area standards.
Teachers will report a student's progress on a trimester basis, and identify areas of strength and also what can be done to improve learning. Additionally, the report card will continue to report a student's progress and effort in the other subject areas.
Please discuss with your child's teacher any concerns you may have regarding progress towards grade level achievement expectations. Report cards for each grade level can be viewed below.
